The Border House: Blog Love

I wanted to take a moment to point y'all to a great new blog that has cropped up on the interwebs and looks like it will be a must-read for me and I hope you as well.

The Border House is a new multi-author blog headed up by the (in)famous CuppyCake and a few other blogger types you may have heard of, including the lovely Vorpal Bunny of GayGamer fame. The focus of the blog is looking at gaming from a Feminist mindset and while they've just launched, they have already started diving head first into the murky waters of what it means to be an avowed Feminist in one of the most regressive industries around (at least in terms of treatment of various minority groups in games… oddly, most gaming companies themselves have very progressive HR policies, they just chose to not translate that mentality to their games).

Since the blog just launched recently, most of the posts to date have been introduction posts from the various authors, but even with the information pulled from those posts I can tell they have a wide and interesting group of topics to tackle, and I'm personally looking forward to it all. For those not completely familiar with Feminism or some of it's concepts and terminology, don't worry: most of the posts are easily approached from any angle, although certainly influenced by the focus of the blog. Even then, they have provided a nice link list to introduce readers to the concepts of Feminism and its concurrent political/social ideals.

I highly suggest you check out The Border House and add it to your RSS feed reader today so that you don't miss out on any of their sure-to-be interesting posts. They are also looking for additional contributors and open to guest posts as well, just follow the links on the main page for more information.

Thank you so much Dickie, for the plug! :)

You're great, and we'd love to have you as a guest blogger now and then if you're interested!

Your site is on my RSS reader as of a few days ago, and I'm reading it religiously. Expect some link love! Thanks again :)

Thanks, Cuppy! I'd love to guest post sometime, and I'm glad you found our little queer slice of the internets here ;)
