Blood Moon Didn't Resonate

I logged into Champions Online last night and promptly logged out about 15.23 minutes later. Don't get me wrong, I'm still enjoying the game, but I wasn't feeling it at al last night, for a few reasons.

First, the game world was dead. I went between the city and the desert and tried a few different shards, and even though it said there were people in each shard, I couldn't find them. Maybe they were all playing Dragon Age? I don't really know, but I didn't enjoy that feeling of loneliness.

Second, I'm pretty sure I'm not a fan of this Blood Moon event. I couldn't get a group to run the crypts, and since they can't be soloed at my level, that means I couldn't do them. And the werewolf vs. hunter minigame was just dull as EVERYONE was a werewolf. The only part I've really liked is the Zombies Hero Game, but even then it started each match with far fewer players than needed and added players as they signed up.

Third, questing in the city while this event is raging is impossible. There are zombies everywhere, mostly in the way of my quest objectives, and if not zombies, there's random dead heroes attacking me.

So I logged out and played some more Torchlight. I originally was excited for Blood Moon, but it seems that it just didn't do it for me. WAR still has the crown for best live event execution in my mind.
