Bon Voyage, Age Of Conan

I've really been enjoying my time in Age of Conan. Well, was enjoying my time in AoC. Truth is, I haven't logged in to the game for a few weeks and I'm now at the point where I need to decide if I should re-up or let it go.

The game is great. Truly, it's a blast. The combat is fast and fun, the graphics are fantastic and the general feel of the game is solid. But, more than anything else, I am a social gamer and I haven't been able to find that social side in the game as of yet. I need a group to run with in a game and if I can't find that group, I lose interest quickly, particularly when my only social outlet left is global chat. This is also complicated by AoC's odd friends page interface… I'm still not sure if it was me or the game, but I couldn't get anyone I added to my friend list to show up in said list when they were online, which kind of defeats that point of a friend list… And without an effective friend list, it's hard to track down people you want to group with or to find the officers of a guild you'd like to join.

So for now I'm going to let AoC go. If I can find a static group to run with or possibly even a guild then I'll likely make the jump back. I'll for sure be back to it when Rise of the Godslayer releases, as the new environments and other additions sound good.

That leaves me playing World of Warcraft and Dungeon Runners for my MMOs, Rock Band 2 for my console gaming time and a smattering of RPGs for my PC, non-MMO time. I think I still have plenty to keep me busy.
