Too Awesome to Use

Sorry for missing yesterday, I was out partying with friends and getting horribly sunburned, but I’m back now!
So you’ve got that really awesome ability, better save it for a challenging fight. Except if you’re me, it’s always “I don’t think I need it here so…” The most notable thing I do this with is click buffs. If the situation is desperate sure I’ll use them, but that damage boost that comes back fast enough to be used every other fight or so? Unless I’m nuking it’s probly not getting clicked. That buff that gives a bottomless end bar, sky high regeneration, and a recharge speed boost? It mostly only gets used after someone uses a nuke to crash their blue bar.
So this leads me to take these theoretically awesome (or at least good) powers and then pretty much not use them. Same thing with items, especially if it’s got a limited number of uses. I did finally (sorta) break myself of hoarding inspirations in the city. I finally got it in my head that I should use them fast enough to keep a slot or two open in my tray, seeing as they drop relatively often. I’m still bad about using the ones I’ve saved up in time though. Using that tier three defense inspiration probably would really help with this hard fight, the chances of me clicking it before I’m missing two thirds of my HP? Not high. That shrink ray? It’s theoretically up every five minutes, usually it’s up every boss. Luckily the debuff isn’t too crippling on it, at least for our team, so it’s not that big a deal when it backfires.
Luckily the city if pretty light on long cool down powers, there’s not really anything that takes more then five minutes when slotted. Likewise, I believe the longest cool down my priest has is three minutes, at least as class skills. Some of his trinkets take longer but of the ones he currently carries with him, one is five minutes, a couple are an hour but also purely cosmetic, and his teleporter is four hours. Luckily I don’t need to jump to Gadgetzan often so it’s not too much of a drawback there.
